Description

This is the gear list for my planned Appalachian Trail (AT) 'thru-hike'.

My target was to be able to carry 5 days of food and 2L of water with a total pack weight of less than 25 lbs. In practice there will be a few short periods where I will need to carry 6-7 days of food. Water sources are fairly plentiful on the AT so I should not have to carry more than 2L of water at any point.

The notes [X] in the Clothing section refer to Andrew Skurka's 2015 article Core Backpacking Clothing.
